What is propolis?

Propolis is "a gelatinous substance obtained by bees selectively collecting sap rich in anti-pathogenic microorganisms from plants and adding it to the secretions of the bees' maxillary glands."

It is the product of repeated processing by the bees themselves, not just a simple mixture of the two.

Bees coat the entire inner wall of the hive with propolis, making the hive in an antiseptic, sterile, and virus-free state, which is cleaner than a human sterile room. There are tens of thousands of bees living in a hive. In a dense and high-temperature environment, the bee colony can maintain a healthy state and nutrients such as honey and pollen do not deteriorate. This is largely due to propolis.

Green propolis is very precious. 50,000 to 60,000 bees can only produce about 0.2 grams a day. The annual global production is only 1/12 of gold production, so it is known as "green gold."

Green propolis has antibacterial, beautifying and promoting cell regeneration effects, which determines its important position in the skin care industry. It can not only eliminate fungal infections, but also decompose pigments, accelerate tissue cell regeneration and wound healing.

Modern research has proven that propolis contains rich and unique biologically active substances, which make it antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, antioxidant, immune-enhancing, hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, anti-tumor and other functions, and has a wide range of effects on the human body. Its medical and health care functions have become a hot topic in scientific research in various countries, and it has become a highly regarded emerging health care product.
